Help us form a new generation of Catholic journalists

Since 2023, more than 80 aspiring journalists and communications professionals have taken CCN’s Catholic journalism courses from our team of award-winning editors and journalists.

It is a commitment of the heart and we are privileged to take it on…

but we need your help!

With diminished funding for Catholic journalism, CCN is seeking crowdfunding support to ensure this summer’s “God in the City” Catholic Journalism Seminar is as impactful as it was in 2025.

Read what two of our 2025 seminar alumni had to say.

“After some initial worry that I did not have the right skill set to participate in God in the City, I am so glad that I attended. The Intensive was outside of my comfort zone, but I came away from a week in Toronto with tools I didn’t know I needed as a Catholic communications professional and a new appreciation for Catholic journalists. I worked hard alongside my fellow attendees, and the instructors were with us every step of the way. The program was well-organized and applicable to what journalists and communicators need today. I found great mentors and new friends in those few days and gaining new skills in journalism undoubtedly prepared me for a new role in diocesan communications.”

“It was full week of learning and doing Catholic journalism, with experienced mentors and budding participants from different parts of the world. Amazing experience!”

This year’s seminar will offer the same quality instruction, hands-on training, one-on-one mentoring, and experience of Christian fellowship and collegiality.

Will you help us reach our goal of $11,000 CAD to make this year’s seminar another resounding success?

Your donation to our “Journalism Scholarship” fund of any amount before Aug. 1 will help continue our work of forming a new generation of reporters ready to carry on the mission of Catholic journalism.
