SASKATOON, Sask. (CCN) — Conquest Boys Club continues to provide a lively and faith-filled opportunity for boys in Grades 3 to 8 across the Roman Catholic Diocese Saskatoon. Conquest meets weekly to help young boys grow as disciples of Jesus through friendship, learning, and service.
Each evening follows a fun and meaningful rhythm. The boys enjoy active games, hear a teaching connected to the upcoming Sunday Gospel, and learn about a virtue to put into practice during the week.
A unique and powerful feature of Conquest is its young leadership team, made up of high-school-aged teens who animate the nights, build relationships, and serve as strong Christian role models.
One recent highlight had the boys facing off against their dads in an energetic dodge ball game that filled the gym with laughter and friendly competition.
During Lent, the boys put their faith into action through a food drive in support of the Saskatoon Food Bank. Together, they collected an impressive six large storage bins of food. John Paul and Jason Possberg collected a combined 438 food items and earned this year’s food drive trophy.
Conquest continues to form young hearts in faith, generosity, and joy – for more information see: conquestsaskatoon.com or e-mail conquest.saskatoon@gmail.com.
